Sabei Mwebesa is the Head of Recovery at Finance Trust Bank. He is in charge of ensuring that recovery activities comply with regulatory criteria, such as efficient management of non-performing loans (NPLs), optimum recovery and credit risk minimization. In addition, he oversees the performance of written-off loans in accordance with debt recovery, credit standards, and processes.

Sabei has a Master of Science in Development Economics from Uganda Martyrs University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Makerere University. He has also supplemented his work with a number of industry trainings, including Rural Credit Management by INTEX CUSTOMER SERVICES, Credit Risk Management by Uganda Institute of Bankers, and DANIDA Agriculture Sector Program Support (ASPS).

Sabei has 23 years of experience in credit business and before joining Finance Trust Bank as Head of Recovery, he worked at Centenary Bank in several capacities, including Debt Recovery Manager.
